1 day
Let us guide you through the day.
We’re going to offer you a more than tempting program.
One thing’s for sure: you won’t soon forget this day.
Discover the Vendée as you’ve never seen it before.
It takes just 10 minutes by car to reach your destination: the port of l’Aiguillon sur Mer.
For this new experience, bring good shoes, beachwear and all the equipment you need for a lazy afternoon. You’ve earned it.
Don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch in your backpack before you leave.
But above all, remember to cover up.
When you see what we have in store for you, you’ll thank us for having thought of this detail.
Option one: climb aboard the Aphrodite.
You’ll need to get up early, and in a good mood (that’s a plus).
As you may have guessed, you’re about to embark on an exceptional adventure.
You can tame the fish of the Atlantic Ocean aboard the Aphrodite.
In the morning, off the coast, the wind can be fresh, so we advise you to think about covering up.
Boarding takes place at the port of l’Aiguillon-sur-Mer for an 8 a.m. departure.
André will guide you on your way. He will be delighted to share his knowledge and passion for sea fishing with you.
Off to Perthuis Breton for a few hours on the open sea.
You may be lucky enough to reel in some nice fish with your fishing rod.
Imagine the pride of bringing home a delicious fish for dinner.
You’re bound to find a delicious recipe to show off your winnings.
We return at around 1pm, after sharing a glass of white wine on the boat.
Sea fishing: €70 (including equipment) and €40 for children aged 8 to 12.
Option two: keep your feet on the ground.
If you think you’re going to get seasick, you’d better keep your feet on the ground.
We suggest a hike that will take you to the magnificent Pointe d’Arçay site.
The walk we’re about to suggest will not leave you indifferent. You’ll feel like you’re alone in the world, surrounded by breathtaking nature.
Duration: 2h30 outward and 2h30 return (you can turn back before the end)
Distance: 11.9 kilometers
Departure from the Puits parking lot in La Faute sur Mer
Walk at your own pace and enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna.
Please note: this walk is only available at low tide. So be sure to check the tides.
Whichever you choose, both options are sure to whet your appetite.
We suggest you settle down in a nice little spot, put your towel down and enjoy your picnic with a breathtaking view.
Enjoy this moment of calm and tranquillity.
After a delicious meal, what better way to relax than on a sandy beach?
We recommend the Chardons beach.
This wild beach stretches for several kilometers. There’s sure to be a spot where you can put your towel down and enjoy a spot of reading or sunbathing, while some of you take a dip in the waves.
End of the day…
If you’ve still got a bit of time and energy left, head for France’s biggest skate park. Yes, it’s in La Faute sur Mer!
Whether you’re into skateboarding, scootering or BMX, it’s a real playground.
After this stop at the Skate Park, you can head back to the La Grande Vallée campsite.
If you’ve opted for fishing, you can enjoy your catch.
